It's almost 1100 P.M. I'm kayaking by night and it's beautiful. I departed John Pennekamp around 7:00 P.M. this eve. I've already made it to Tavierna, where I've found a landing. The seas are calm and the homes beautiful. I 'm skirting the Atlantic down, staying within eyes distance of HWY 1. Here is a picture of my Tarpon 120 rigged for night kayaking.

Tire Delay
On the way to John Pennekamp the rear vehicle tire started wobbling! At World Tires tire shop getting the issue fixed. A name brand tire store starting with an "F" and ending in "stone" evidently incorrectly screwed on two lug nuts last week, which lead to one of them falling off in route today, and the mechanics here having to break off the other. Unexpected delay. This must have happened for a reason! Perhaps I'll find my dive motel by night navigation this evening. Should be interesting. Not the start I was hoping for.
Pre-Voyage Jonathan w/ gear
Departure day! Me with my gear staged at Coral Ridge Country Club Condo. I've gone minimalist. Gear is stowed in dry bags. Prize possessions: GPS, NOAA weather radio, spear gun, sun block, and H20. Time to depart for the launch point, John Pennekamp Park. Guide Book states that a kayak circumnavigation of the Keys takes 21 days. My trip plan is to go out on the Gulf and back on the Atlantic. I'll then cut in on Biscayne Bay and take the Intercoastal Waterway back to the Condo. Poseidon..... I ask of you to make the seas calm for my journey.
